On Tuesday 9th November, FC UNITY kicked off its London debut of the One Iraq campaign with the first instalment of our “Food for Democracy” events in the most appropriate of culinary settings, Borough Market. The campaign, designed to gain international support for Iraq, was created in light of the need to support the development of the country’s youth population.

Borough Market’s, Posh Banger Boys restaurant played host to around 100 hungry FC Unity supporters attending the he “I Hamburger Democracy” evening. London Bridge stalwart and burger connoisseur ‘Rik’ has agreed to join us by serving up the finest organic handmade patties for 100 specially invited guests. Every burger consumed will go some way to helping Iraq become self-sustainable by funding FC Unity’s democracy, citizenship and leadership workshops for young Iraqi men and women.

The night also included a screening of the FC Unity Iraq films.
